In Memoriam 2021 | A call for submissions

Since 2014; with the exception of 2015, and 2018 it has become an annual tradition at the Trinidad and Tobago Performing Arts Network to memorialize both the celebrated and unsung heroes of T&T’s culture and performing arts community, who passed away within the respective years.

So moving have been these tributes that in 2019, that year’s In Memoriam was picked up for broadcast on one of the National Television Channels – TTT.

Our last tribute honored the contributions of 48 persons to our performing arts landscape. These included: Patricia Roe, James Lee Wah, Joy Caesar, Tony Hall, Dennis ‘Sprangalang’ Hall, Karen Codrington, Ralph Campbell, Leah Gordon and Joyce Kirton to name a few.

The call for submissions for our 2021 in Memoriam Tribute is now open.

In the past year, we have lost so many valuable contributors to our community… but still we remember them.  For this year’s tribute we would like to be as thorough as we can as we honor the departed, and memorialize the contributions they have made to our growing industry.

The global pandemic COVID-19 has made it especially difficult for many of us to say farewell to our loved ones in recent years, so we are really hoping this year’s tribute is truly special and inclusive. We are therefore reaching out to the creative community and the general public at large to help us remember those who who took their final curtain call this year.

Who are the persons you would like to see included in our 2021 tribute?
